Our Story
The idea for The Thoughtful Baker was inspired by a dear friend’s severely allergic children who never enjoyed a birthday cake, muffin, or cookie that wasn’t tasteless, dull, and crumbly. After extensive research and testing, we have perfected a combination of ingredients and production techniques resulting in baked goods truly superior to anything available in the marketplace. Be creative and use our gluten free breads to make delicious stuffing, bread bowls, and strata just like conventional bread or incorporate our cakes and cookies and invent your own special desserts!
Our custom baked to order treats use only the finest quality, wholesome, and natural ingredients. Fruit and vegetable purees are used in our products to enhance the flavor and nutritional value. All our baked goods are preservative and trans fat free other than what naturally occurs in the optional dairy-based icings. Our treats freeze beautifully so you can enjoy your custom baked goods anytime!

- The Thoughtful Baker, LLC is a licensed North Carolina company and has been inspected and approved by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture.
- Gluten-free products are baked in dedicated ovens and baking pans. We employ the ELISA Technologies, Inc. EZ Gluten Test on our products.
- While the greatest care is taken to reduce the potential for cross contamination, there is the possibility of cross contamination from corn, dairy, eggs, peanuts, soy, tree nuts, wheat, and yeast.
